Jack in the Box |
| Most of the middle of this backglass had been melted away.
I had an old Jumping Jack backglass that I had coated with Cover Your Glass from Steve
Young. I couldn't find a replacement glass, so I used a razor blade and cut and pasted
pieces from the Jumping Jack onto the Jack in the Box. Unless you look real close you
can't tell. I will try to get some better close up pics so you can check out the work. The
girl above player 3 has 3/4 of her legs and her left arm and hand from the Jumping Jack.
The Clown's nose and his hand below the player 1 came from the Jumping Jack. The girl's
head on the left above player 2 is from the JJ, and most of the blue background came from
the JJ. |

I bought this for my cousin Lenny at the Chicago Expo auction
in 1997 for
$100. He had been trying to talk me out of my Jumping
Jack, so I figured this would shut
him up. The playfield required all of the pink to be repaired from the drop targets to the
kick out holes. Also, the whole top of the playfield needed repainting. This was my first
major playfield repainting followed by a coat of Varathane. It came out great. This pic is
not the best. The clown targets and pop bumpers are all new. It looks better than my
Jumping Jack.
The 1997 Expo was a real good one for us.
