In May of 1998 Dave and I had a very productive trip to Fun Distributing
in Dearborn. He picked up an Old
Chicago and I bought this Hot Shot and a Boomerang.
It was tough choosing the Big
Shot or Hot Shot to keep because both are in great shape. This Hot Shot now belongs to
my Sister in Law.
In November of 2008, I traded a Target Alpha
to get this game back.. I had a
buyer for the Hot Shot lined up in Chicago. It was the brother of the
person who bought my
OXO. When they drove over to pick up
the
OXO, they tried to talk me out of my
Big Shot which I would not sell because it
was my first game so I worked out the trade and everyone was happy.
I thougt it would be an easy trade, but when I picked up the Hot
Shot, it was a mess. It had not been maintained at all. It was
not much work to fix some minor mechanical issues, but I had to do a
thorough shop on the playfield and some touch-up on the cabinet.
Much more work than I planned, but at least the deal went through.
