Metro: Just about any one! On any visit to Paris,
sooner or later when you are walking around you will have to go to the bathroom. If you
don't have the nerve to walk into a store or cafe and go without buying something, then
the Sanisette is for you. It automatically scrubs, washes, and disinfects itself after
each use. Here is a link to a site dedicated to the Sanisette:

I know for a fact that this guy came all the way from California to get
his picture taken there. Judging by the look on his face, he's waiting for someone to get
out because he needs to go real bad! |
Unfortunately, This woman was not so lucky. You can tell she is trying to hold it, but
nature prevailed. That picture is saved for another site (18+ yrs only) |

Before going in, make sure you check out the control panel to make sure it
is not OCC UPE ! Place two French Francs in the slot and you are ready to go (so to
speak!) The door will open and then close automatically behind you. |
|
Here's the inside. After you exit, the door will close and the Sanisette will clean
itself. It takes about a minute for the wall behind the toilet to open, then brushes and
sprayers scrub down the toilet and disinfect it. |

The Sanisette is certainly an upgrade from the older style "Pissoir" shown
in the picture on the left. That's a US soldier during WW I. I have to wonder how the
engineer decide on the shape of the Pissoir!!!!!!! What does it look like to you? |
