This machine was purchased in May of 1996 and was the most unique negotiation I have ever had. I saw the game in a shop
that will remain nameless. I asked the price and was told $250. That seemed fair, but of
course we don't ever agree to the first price. I offered $200 and the guy turned around
and walked away. I figured I pissed him off good, so I played a little longer. The game
quit working which didn't bother me at all, and the guy came back. I pointed out that the
game wasn't working and also showed him all the mouse shit in the game. Again I offered
him $200. He again turned around without a word and walked away. I looked around the shop
for a while and decided to give it one more try and if he turned around just offer the
$250. This time, when I offered the $200, he said that if I wanted it that bad, I could
have it for $175. After my jaw hit the floor, I told him OK and I went outside to the cash
machine. Of course, all I could get were 20 dollar bills. I gave him $180 and didn't have
the balls to ask for the $5 change. |
This game is now in much better condition than when I bought it. I
purchased a replacement plastic for the right vari target and also the right plastic by
the flippers. I looked for the left plastic by the flippers before Jeff Wiles gave me one
that was extra. Jeff also made up new flipper labels and a complete set of the instruction
and score cards. The picture below shows the bottom part of the playfield with the new
plastics, new flipper labels, and scorecards. I know Jeff sells the labels and score cards
if you need any (e-mail pinballkid@worldnet.att.net). He has
a great web page too. The page has a detailed history of the restoration job he did on a
Pro Football. Here is the link: Jeff's Page Thanks Jeff ! |
