La Taverne du Sergent Recruteur is on the Isle St. Louis behind Notre
Dame. I was told that this is where the Sergents used to recruit people to fight in the
wars. They would have unlimited food and drinks until the person was so loaded they would
sign up. I don't know if it's true, but its a pretty good story. |

This is the Fontaine St Michel, it is often used as a meeting point most likely
because many subway lines coverge at the St. Michel/Notre Dame station. It is located
across the Seine with a view of Notre Dame. |
