My parents and sister stayed in this hotel in September of
2000. They all said it was a great place to stay. A British woman (Linda) worked at the
front desk. She was very helpful since nobody spoke French. The location is very
convenient to many subway lines as you can see from the map above. It is also within
walking distance of the Louvre. They had a double room that was two levels which was very
convenient. Pricing was VERY REASONABLE. Many pictures are below - be patient while they
load. You can see that my Mom is right when she says it is very spacious, especially by
European standards.
Here is my Mom's Hotel Status Report:
Very, very nice rooms - newly decorated. Color scheme: Bright yellow,
powder blue, royal blue, gold. Powder blue carpeting, yellow, blue, and gold striped
wallpaper on bottom of walls. Solid yellow wallpaper on top of walls. Blue and white
quilted bedspread.
Furnature - French provincial off white. Royal blue velvet couch and
chairs. Off white French Provincial glass covered writing table.
Windows - Open from floor to ceiling - from 1st level to 2nd level 11
winding steps connect the 2 levels. Drapes match striped wallpaper - Very pretty!
Bathroom - all tiled - god as far as European powder rooms go. Nice Tub
and Shower. Comment from Dad - BUT NO SHOWER CURTAINS!
Compact Refrig in corner of living room. Spacious for Europe.
TV - Color cable with remotes on both levels.
Daily breakfasts were delicious.
